This meditation was created for a virtual yoga retreat during the pandemic of 2020. Inspired by Tantra Yoga, we walk through the process of making everyday domestic tasks sacred, and slowing down the process of preparing and eating food so that our eating becomes a meditation and moment of gratitude.

Here’s a simple 30 minute practice to help you wind down and let go of the day ready for bed. Please use props, listen to your body and modify to avoid pain.

 
 
 

TPR and relaxation

TPR stands for ‘trigger point release’. Its where we target areas of muscular tenison in the body with the balls, and use a self massage technique to recondition and repair these areas. Grab 2 tennis balls or TPR balls and jump onto your yoga mat for a short practice that centres around UNDOING… Ie just taking away tension, breathing deeply and celebrating you in your ‘non-performing’ state. This class was made in honour of International Women’s Day 2022.
